So you really dare to explore the mysterious lights of the city? Looks like you are appealed by their treasure! But you will only be able to determine its position if you manage to find the iron book, to open it and to decrypt the information contained within. You will only be able to succeed in tracing the lights if you carry a powerful "night inverter" with you. The mission is truly not easy. Questions and difficult physical challenges are awaiting you in alternating order on your way.
First you should head for the place where the lights have been spotted recently. You have to solve the following riddle to identify this spot which lies within the perimeter of 2 km from the specified cache coordinates.
A cacher wants to install a multi-digit seven-segment display in one of her caches to represent numbers. She uses the most common display format for each of the digits from 0 to 9. In order not to mislead the eager searchers in case of a technical malfunction, she only wants to display the digits that will not lead to the representation of another valid digit if one of the segments is triggered invertedly. All the digits satisfying these conditions should finally be shown in descending order.
Which number will be visible on the display?
Now you can determine the location of the starting point by adding the number displayed by the cacher which is shown in milliminutes to these northern and eastern coordinates:
N47°59.390 E007°50.846
Descend down the stairs into the big dark ditch from this point and let the quest begin ...
Visitations
Observe the following rules if you encounter ghost lights:- follow the white and yellow ghost lights and look out for further white, yellow or red ones carefully at each of the yellow ones
- fulfill the next task in the following section observing the given order close to red glittering marking straps (below yellow ghost lights). You need the solutions to find the iron book later on
- look for a blue ghost light in the vicinity of every red round ghost light
- acquire the magic numbers from each blue ghost light. You need three of them to open the iron book later on
Tasks
- A company has built the structure (Bauwerk) "BW 12-05" here.
The material number (Stoff-Nr.) of the coating (Beschichtung) "2.GB" is ABC,DA.
- Take a look at the information labels for the gas (Gas)
junctions.
How many meters away is the perpendicularly most distant one?
This distance multiplied by 10 results in CE.
How far away is the junction "H3623" sideways?
The answer is D,F meters.
Look for the next ghost lights westward.
- The marked construction has been built (erbaut) in the year GBDD
and has been renewed (erneuert) in the year GBHB.
As soon as you have collected all intermediate results you can calculate the location of the iron book as follows:
N 47°59. GDD x C + E
E 007°50. BF x H
Use your comprehension and your dexterity to open the seal and the iron book with the aid of the three magical numbers you have collected. You do not have to use force to accomplish this task. Please relock the secret information and disguise the magical numbers carefully afterwards.
It is only well known that the cache is located somewhere within the rectangle spanned by the coordinates N47°59.000 E007°50.000 and N47°59.999 E007°50.999. But you know the secret of the ghost lights now which empowers you to raise their concealed treasure. Please hide it well again afterwards, thanks and have fun!

hat den Geocache gefunden
Bereits vor längerem hatten Cxx und ich diesen Cache begonnen und auch alles, mit Ausnahme der Finalbox gefunden. So hatten wir in mehreren Anläufen am Final alles abgesucht, mit Ausnahme des eigentlichen Verstecks und vielleicht einem Meter drum herum. Heute haben wir den Fund dann endlich nachgeholt und die einzig verbleibende Stelle näher angeschaut. So konnten wir die Box dann schnell in unseren Händen halten.

Hurra - ein gelöster Nachtcache! tolle 1,5 stunden gestern nacht und heute früh morgens im tiefen Graben verbracht! OK, es war nicht der erste Anlauf und wir haben nicht nur im Dunkeln gesucht - aber manche Sachen wie Stage 1 sieht man nicht, obwohls eigentlich nicht zu übersehen war!
OK, sehr schön war auch, dass wir , obwohl unseren 4 Augen
ein wichtiges blaues Irrlicht entging, trotzdem zum Final kommen konnten! 2 von 3, da war Hirn und Geschick gefragt - aber kurz vor eins wars dann soweit - habe zusammen mit den halben Windies eine neue Seite im Log beschrieben!

Der Cache wurde ein weiteres Mal umgebaut und ist ab sofort wieder verfügbar. Die neue wegen der besseren Tarnbarkeit leider deutlich kleinere Box sollte nun wirklich absolut muggelsicher versteckt sein. Die Terrainwertung ist um 0.5 Sterne gestiegen und an der Cachebeschreibung wurden kleine Änderungen vorgenommen. Wer schon einen Teil des Caches gelöst hat sollte sich vor einem erneuten Anlauf bei mir melden, damit die Suche den neuen Gegebenheiten angepasst werden kann.
