The peninsula Pehlitzwerder has not only a reputation for its old trees. In the 13th century Cistercian friars founded there the monastery Mariensee, whose remains can still be seen. The ruin is situated on the top of the peninsula at N 52°54,792' E 14°00,192', wherefrom you can enjoy the view over the lake.

During the sommer the greatest part of the peninsula is used as an open camping area. That means, there is no fence and visitors are welcome. A small beach at N 52°54,780' E 14°00,363' invites you to take a bath in clear water of the Parstein lake.

The museum in the Pehlitzwerder house presents the development of the region from the ice age until today.

Dogs should stay outside. If you like to use any facilities (beach, lavatory, ...) you should pay 1 Euro at the reception.

Der Cache ist definitiv gemuggelt. Ich denke, das Versteck ist mittlerweile auch "verbrannt". Bei der letzten Cachewartung gab es schon Hinweise, dass einige Camper es kennen. Da ich nur noch selten an den Parsteiner See komme, bleibt leider nur die Archivierung. Good Bye!

Komisch waren keine Camper mehr da , so konnte ich aber ungestört suchen und finden.

Moin,moin

Schorfheideradtour - dabei den cache mitgenommen. Erst am falschen verdächtigen Platz gesucht. Dann doch die richtige Eingebung und wir wurden fündig.

Erst zur Klosterruine (als Alibi für den "Einlass") und dann schnell zum Cache.
Die Koordinaten waren um 14:20 schnell ausgemacht, der "verdächtige" Platz auch.
Zum Glück war ich nicht allein, das erleichtert es ungemein...

Waehrend Papa noch diverse Verstecke untersuchte, kam von Felix der dezente Hinweis auf das tolle Versteck. Gut ausgesucht.
