Auf den Spuren des Limes – In the footsteps of Limes

Cachebeschreibung in Englisch:

The cache starts at the car park in the center of Denkendorf, at Grange House. From the starting point it goes north towards the industrial area to the roundabout. West of the roundabout is the so called Roman memorial column, also Maxlstein or devil´s stone. Here is the first task of the cache to solve. With the coordinates you get after solving the riddle, it's the Mühlweg along through the industrial area. At the end of the road you have to turn left. After the motorway underpass, continue past the Middle School and turn left after about 300 meters at the cemetery sharp right onto Via Raetica. Then the course of the gravel path must be followed, until you arrive the main road at Gelbelsee. Stay on this main road until it branches off to the right. Now go straight up on the right side until the water tower appears. There you will be asked the second question. The next coordinations will guide you down the road to the geographic center of Bavaria. Here is the third cache. After answering the task the coordinates will show the path to Kipfenberger castle, which is located in the Roman and Bajuwarenmuseum . After the fourth task is solved, it goes on the road down to Kipfenberg. In the market of Kipfenberg it is now possible to take a little rest. After the break, you go to iron goat, the fifth station in this cache. If this riddle is answered, the way towards the public pool is followed, but after the bridge you have to turn left to the bikeway guiding to Böhming. There are signs showing the way to the castle Arnsberg. The coordinates to the castle you received from the 5th cache. In the castle restaurant it is also be possible to take a little rest. To cope with this cache, it is advisable to ride a mountain bike, as well as some gravel passages or sections with loose surfaces need to be covered. In addition, sufficient time should be scheduled for the 21.7 km long route includes some altitude (about 300 m) and takes about 2 hours to complete. Hikers who choose this route should take a whole day.
