Description
Marterl is the form of the wayside shrine, most common in Bavaria and Austria. It is a wooden or stone pillar, on the top of it is the head with depictions of religious scenes.
On the given coordinates there's a nice marter made of stone. But visiting that coordinates is neither required not enough to log the cache. This is the Safari hunt, so the logging condition is finding another marter, which was not previously logged by other user, and post its coordinates in your log in the format N/S DD MM.MMM E/W DDD MM.MMM, together with the picture of the marter made by you.
The logs that doesn't fullfill the requirements above will be deleted.
This is a virtual Safari-Cache. It isn't placed on any predefined location, but can be logged anywhere. The given coordinates are only an example

Wir waren auf den Höhen von Willingen im Upland unterwegs und haben bei den Koordinaten
N 51 15.799 E 008 38.989
einen schönen Bildstock entdeckt nahe der Graf-Stollberg-Hütte an einem der Qualitätswanderwege im Sauerland.

Heute gab es wieder eine Tour mit dem CB. Es wurden 80 km, es war kein DNF dabei :-).
Dieses Marterl erinnert an einen Flugzeugabsturz im Jahr 1918. Es steht bei:
N 48 13.908 E 011 44.301
Es wurde sogar extra ein Höhpfad für das Marterl eingerichtet.

Den diesjährigen Sommerurlaub haben wir in Oberfranken verbracht. Heute sind wir von Coburg nach Langenstadt weiter gefahren.
Auf dem Weg habe ich diese Safari wahr genommen. Bei N 50° 05.735' E 011° 05.265' habe ich ein Martel entdeckt und fotografiert. Ich habe natürlich noch viele andere entdeckt. Ich hoffe das dieser eine zur Erfüllung der Aufgabe ausreicht.

In Griechenland auf Kreta findet man die "Marterl" an jeder Ecke, auch dort, wo man sie nicht erwarten würde. Sie erinnern in Regel an Todesfälle in Folge von Unfällen und werden an den entsprechenden Stellen aufgestellt und auch gepflegt.
Das erste Bild stammt aus Kokkini Hani, das Marterl wurde für Mariä Himmelfahrt mit neuen Pflanzen und Kerzen versehen, das andere steht vor der Ausgrabungsstätte in Knossos.
Für die Safari zählt das Marterl aud Kokkini Hani bei N35 19.885 E025 14.997
