The Castle of Schwerin has a long history. The first records of a castle at this location date from AD 973. There was a fort of the Polabian Slav tribe of the Obotrites on an island in the large Lake of Schwerin. Along the following years until the 19th century the castle was altered and rebuild over and over again. The changes were severe. The buildings from the medieval time are vanished completely.

If you want to learn more about the history of the castle you may read the boards in the park or visit the castle museum at the back side of the castle.

You will find the cache in the caves of the castle. Look for a place where you expect bats but do not climb on any stone and stay on the footpath.

Der war zum Glück ganz leicht zu finden. Und ich konnte den Izzy TB hier endlich ablegen.

Mit dem RE 🚂 gings auf nach Schwerin 🏰, um die Stadt zu erkunden und natürlich zu cachen. Hier war ich das letzte Mal 1988 zur Klassenfahrt 🙈. Nach dem guten Frühstück gings auf, um noch ein paar Caches zu besuchen. Hier suchte ich etwas länger, sogar mit Handylicht und konnte nichts entdecken. Nachdem ich zig mal hin und her gelaufen bin, untersuchte ich die Stelle, wo ich zuerst die Vermutung hatte und siehe da, da war doch das Döschen 👓. TFTC 🐧

Einfach nochmal eben in die Grotte spaziert. Und muggelfrei loggen können.

Da wir hier schon quasi in der Nähe waren haben wir uns gedacht das wir diese Dose auch gleich mitnehmen können. Nach kurzer Suche direkt gefunden und sogleich ins Logbuch eingetragen.

Vielen Dank an kaeschkaefer für das Legen und Pflegen der Dose, diese verhalf mir nun zur Dose Nummer 2.
