The village Bachenhausen is mentioned as "Peihhinhusir" (House of Peihhin) between 784 and 810 for the first time in a document.
In the beginning of the 19th century it belonged to the municipality of Lauterbach in the district of Freising up to the area reform.
Bachenhausen is situated in the valley sink of the creek Rettenbach near a slope up to the north and has only agricultural buildings, except for the newer residential zone south of the district road.
The chapel "to the painful Mother of God" was built in 1820 and renovated in 1997.

Der war gar nicht mal so einfach zu finden. Zuerst auf der falschen Ebene gesucht. Gott sei Dank erspähten wir dann aber den erlösenden Hasengrill. Vielen Dank fürs Legen und langjährige Pflegen der Dose!

Heute war ich gemeinsam mit R. in dieser Gegend unterwegs um ein paar Marterl zu (be-)suchen.

Bevor es zu Runde A ging, haben wir diesen Tradi noch gesucht und wurden sofort fündig.

Schöne Kirche, danke für's Zeigen. Kurze Pause gemacht und dann wieder aufs Rad geschwungen, am späten Nachmittag war es dann langsam Zeit für die Rückfahrt.
