Informations about the camp (unfortunately only in german) are available on Wikipedia, spurensuchesh.de and akens.org.
In 2003 the foundation walls of the guesthouse were excavated. A new memorial stone was errected and information boards were placed. Until that only the small memorial stone at the beginning of the footway and an older, well hidden memorial stone at the junction 250m further east pointed out the history of this place.

Das Arbeitserziehungslager Nordmark war Filser1 und mir gänzlich unbekannt. Cachen bildet!
Scherz beiseite, ohne unser Hobby wären wir schon an vielen interessanten, historischen und wissenswerten Orten vorbeigefahren.

Auf der Reise in die Heimat, besuchten TEMBO! und ich, diesen geschichtsträchtigen Ort, der noch lange als Mahnung und Erinnerung erhalten bleiben sollte. Leider geht es hier nicht ohne Schmierereien ab.
