SAP Cache

The idea for this cache was born spontaneous by my collegues and me.
Due to the circumstance, that we work close together with SAP and we couldn’t find a SAP cache, we started this one…
Take care, that the coordinates mentioned above are NOT the needed ones!!!

Worth knowing:

-           All tasks can be done in your office

-           You need access to SAP Service Marketplace ( https://service.sap.com/notes)

-           You need access to a SAP-System (MINI SAP , SAP Basis 4.0 up to 7.00 tested)

-           System with SAP_Basis und SAP_ABA

-           You need access to the WWW

Go to SAP Service Marketplace and run a search for the surenames of the 5 SAP founders. For three of them, you will find OSS-notes, two of them we need.

Take the oldest of each and summate them. To the total, sum 100 (=AA)

(AA) = _________

Using the last six digits of (AA), you will find a new OSS-note; if not – do not worry!

Now, take a look fort he next higher OSS-note, for which a note does exist.

The checksum of this note (BB) has to be 24.

On which time of day, the second version of this OSS was released (CC)? ?

(CC) = _________

Using the following “key“, you will find a SAP program:

The digit in 3rd row is an equal of a digit in (CC). i.e. (CC) conatins a 4… this means the program contains
an “A“. The digit in the 2nd row says, how many times the letter occurs in program.. In the example, the
“A“ exits one time.

TAKE CARE: Does a digit occurs more than one time in (CC), you have to use it only one time!!!

Also the seconds are partt of the program!!!

Whether the program is correct or not, you can find out using the ABAP-Editor inside a SAP-system.

How often, the program is started in a SAP-system regulary (in sec.) (DD)?

Convert the interval of the program in to minutes (EE).

(EE) = _________

Which transaction (no, not SM??) you have to use, if you want to find out, wether the program is running or not (FF)

(FF) = _________

Look for all datalements in SAP Data Dictonary, which are including the first letters of transaction (FF) and interval (EE), i.e. if the txn you are looking for is AB45 and the interval is 1, then search for *AB*1*.

How many letters does the shortest datalement (you have found) has (GG)?

(GG) = _________

Now… use GoogleEarth to find the city, where the SAP headquarter is located and look for the SAP area.

While looking at the arial view, what do you see? Yes, many of the buidings look like a letter.

Verifying this letter with the (i.e. german) alphabet, which number is it (A=1… Z=26) (HH)?

How to find the coordinates for the final:

If you have enough time and also you want to go for it..., Go to the start coordinates (which are not part of the cache, but near to it). But don’t go to far, you could get wet feet ;o)

There you will find a beautiful (small) lake, which gives you a perfect possibility for a walk in the nature!
