The church
The catholic parish church of Saint Michael in Berg am Laim is one of the most gorgeous and important religious buildings in today's Munich city area. The late-baroque church had been built between 1735 and 1751 by order of the elector and archbishop of Cologne Clemens August I of Bavaria following plans of the Bavarian builder Johann Michael Fischer. The interior is regarded as a masterpiece of Southern German rococo.

Not only the exterior can enchant but also the interior. It is open to the public from 08:30am - 05:00pm. (On Mondays it can be closed due to reconstruction works) Please respect services.
Getting there
Using Munich's public transport system (MVV) you can use the subway U2 and get off at Josephsburg or use Bus 185 or the tramway 19 and get off at Baumkirchner Str..
You can park your car at the given coordinates, although the place might be crowded during service hours.
When you are at the initial coordinates you can enjoy the beautiful aspect of the church. If you approach the main entrance a little bit then you will find a verse from a psalm out of the Clementine Vulgate. (a Latin bible translation, widespread since the 9th century) Let the variable A be the number, which indicates the verses chapter after the word "Psalm":
For the interested: It is verse 23, but the chapter number is missin a 1 as hundreds, the correct chapter in the Latin Vulgate therefore is 100+A. Today we use a different numbering, at least in the German bible it is Verse 23 of Chapter 100+A+1.

The final cache is the typicl 35mm film container containing the log book and a pencil. No need to enter the building or to climb. It's just a quick grab.

Um dieses Listing synchron zu halten, setze ich die auf GC inzwischen erfolgte Archivierung auch hier um. Sollte der Owner diesen Cache hier exklusiv weiterbetreiben wollen, dann bitte das "OC only" Attribut setzen und den Cache selbstständig über die Funktion "Cache bearbeiten" reaktivieren.

Eigentlich wollte ich nur das Logbuch austauschen, aber hier hat sich ja einiges geändert.
Die Fassade auf dem Foto ist eingerüstet, was ihren Wert doch deutlich schmälert, die Variable A ist zwar noch zu lesen, aber Spaß macht das auch nicht mehr, und der Final ist eigentlich nicht mehr erreichbar. Zu allem Überfluss fehlt der Dose mal wieder etwas…
Daher ist erst Mal Schluss, bis ich mir Gedanken gemacht habe, wie es hier sinnvollerweise weitergehen kann. (Wenn jemand eine Cache-Idee hat, und dieser dabei stört, weiche ich auch gern etwas Neuem)

I just wanted to change the log book, but a lot has changed here.
The façade is in scaffolding, which lowers it value, the variable A is still readable but with much effort, and the final isn't really reachable any more. On top of that the container is missing something again…
BEcause of that I'll disable it for now, until I now what to change.

Mit Spoiler nach drei Versuchen endlich gefunden. Zwei Tage Regen und ziemlich durch matchte Sache. Ich hatte wirklich eigentlich keine Lust mehr.
Kein Fund.
Jetzt bin ich froh.

#2422<br />Ich wollte schon aufgeben, aber habe dann doch noch den hint gelesen. Danach war es eher nicht mehr so schwer. TFTC und fürs Zeigen der tatsächlich ganz ordentlichen Kirche, auch wenn ich Barock ein wenig kitschig finde.<br />
