L'insediamento umano a Brunico è documentato sin dal periodo protostorico. Ritrovamenti risalenti alle età della Pietra, del Bronzo e del Ferro si possono ammirare a Brunico e negli immediati dintorni, come ad esempio la famosa ascia di pietra di Rasun.
Numerosi sono i resti di epoca romana . Pietre miliari, come ad esempio quella di Castelbadia, direttamente sulla statale, indicavano ai legionari romani il cammino nella valle da Aquileia attraverso Auguntum..

05. juillet 2008 PX200E trouvé la géocache

I made this Cache during our holiday in South Tirol.
Very nice place for a Cache and a nice hide.
After the caching we were swimming in the Sport Arena of Brunero (Bruneck)
I take the travel bug out of the cache and hides it today in Haltern Germany. I forget to write down the tracking number of the TB, sorry. I hope the owner will sent it to me.
