Die Itterquelle

Am Südhang der Wilsumer Berge befindet sich die Itterquelle. Hier tritt Grundwasser aus den Wilsumer Bergen an die Oberfläche. Die Quelle speist den kleinen Bach "Itter" und gibt somit dem Ort Itterbeck seinen Namen. Nach einigen Kilometern verschwindet die Itter wieder im Untergrund. Der sandige Boden von Itterbeck saugt förmlich das Wasser vom Bach auf.
Wenn ihr noch eine kleine Wanderung machen wollt: die Möglichkeit ist gegeben.
