The start coodinates N52°17.615' E10°31.891' merely refer the position of Dowesee without further meaning. After a walk in a lovely park the final can be found also outside of opening hours. The whole trip of about 1.6 miles could be done in churchgoing outfit.
The 'Schul- und Bürgergarten' (school and commoner garden) is a park which is used for educationial and research purposes. It is also a local recreation area for the residents in the north of Brunswick. The Dowesee is in the center of the garden.
The garden entrance is located at N52°17.518' E10°32.009'. Admission is free.
Opening hours (2008): 9am to 4pm (Nov to Feb) 6pm (Mar, Apr, Sep, Oct) 8pm (May to Aug).

Zusammen mit den ruenas waren wir heute um den Dowesee in dem sehr schönen und abwechslungreichen Garten unterwegs. Dank Hint konnten wir alle Informationen unterwegs sammeln. Den Final haben wir dann auch gut gefunden. Vielen Dank für diesen ungewöhnlichen Mystery an einem tollen Ort!

Das war also unser 1000. Sehr schön. Endlich mal ein Mystery bei dem man losgehen kann und es versteht. Der Rundgang war sehr schön, wir haben viel entdeckt und gefunden. Auch die 1,5-jährige der Mörchinger hatte ihren Spass.

Im Team mit Botanikprofi kueche hatten wir hier schon vor zwei Jahren einen Versuch gestartet, diesen aber wetter- und verständnisbedingt abgebrochen. Heute war es nun soweit und mit der entsprechenden Vorbereitung konnte die Runde nahezu flott absovliert werden. An Station C mussten wir nacharbeiten, doch kueche hatte die richtige Vermutung, da wir das Objekt eigentlich unter einem anderen Namen kannten. Eine der vielen Bänke lud uns dann ein, den rechnerischen Teil hinter uns zu bringen. Die Farbe des Checkers passte dann zum Thema und froh gelaunt ging es zum Final, das sich nicht lange verstecken konnte.

Lange habe ich diesen Cache vor mir hergeschoben, schien er doch aufgrund der endlosen Zahl an Wegpunkten recht schwierig und zeitaufwändig. Doch heute stand der Besuch des Schulgartens am Dowesee endlich auf dem Programm. Und vor Ort entpuppte sich die Runde als wirklich schön gemacht und weit weniger schwierig als gedacht. So konnte es nach einem klasse Spaziergang um den See zum Final gehen, was sich nicht lange verbergen konnte.
