Whilborough Common is not a very well known common, nor is it particularly large being only just over 7 hectares in size (whatever a hectare is?).
According to www.teignbridge.gov.uk/media.cfm?mediaid=5678 Placidiopsis cartilaginea and other rare lichens of calcareous turf grow at Whilborough Common
Well, so much for Googling "Whilborough Common".
Whilborough Common does have a scenic view ... of the quarry at Stoneycombe.
On to the cache ...
Suggested parking at N50 29.893 W003 35.315
The cache is a small click-n-lock style box hidden on the western slope of the common with room for some small swaps and GeoCoins
