The whole route (beer gardens, cache, back to starting point) can be managed by bike. So you both protect the environment and can also drink one or more beer on your way. Or just a beer mixed with lemonade (=shandy), called "Radler" (cyclist), so that you still remain clear minded for the cache. When the weather is good, the beer gardens open around 10 to 11 a.m.

At N51° 03.670' E013° 46.010' you are near Fährgarten. Look for the year (19AB) on the iron entrance.

And then the tour starts to N51° 03.163' E013° 48.533'.

Here you are at Schillergarten, one of the oldest inns in Dresden-Blasewitz. Take a closer look at the beautiful crest above the main entrance. The beer which is served here has (CD) letters, the checksum is (E). In 1730, the great German poet Friedrich Schiller is said to have stopped for a bite to eat here. For his 100th birthday the Berlin printer Ernst Litfaß (inventor of the “Litfaß pillar” (advertising pillar)) donated a monument to the restaurant in 1859 which is situated in the garden of the restaurant. After that the restaurant was renamed to "Schillergarten". Count the words of the inscription (Fx). If you leave the beer garden, count the steps of the upper stairs of the entrance beer garden as (G).

The route leads to the direction of N51° 03.181 'E013° 48.711'. Two different beer gardens are awaiting guests: the Körnergarten and the Elbegarten. There are a lot of kick stands where you can lock your bike at. How many of them are there exactly (HK)??

On the route to N51° 03.280 'E013° 48.834' you can enjoy the wonderful old style of the Friedrich-Wieck-Straße. In the heart of the former township Loschwitz there is a lot to discover. Among other things the Joseph Herrmann monument, the flood monument "The Wave", the ferry manor (No.45) with the restaurant "Il Camino" and Kleinert's specialties, Mother Unger, WineCafé Klara, ...

At N51° 03.280 'E013° 48.834' you can continue pedalling; unfortunately the road becomes kid of bumpy but with a good bike you can manage this one.

The cache is located in a stump at 51° 0F.ACK 'E013° DG.HEB'. When entering and leaving the cache location, the terrain valuation temporarily rises to approx. 4 stars! You will have to leave your bike here, I do recommend to bring a bike lock.

For the return trip, you can use the Elbe ferry back to the starting point. If you still or again are thirsty, you can extend the tour up to the Rosengarten (N51° 03.660' E013° 45.565') or even the Augustusgarten (N51° 03.400' E013° 44.490')...
