IN: 2x blue stone OUT: South Limburg GC

IN: Haribo-Fußball-Figur OUT:Pokal

Like Pr3ach3rman I combined this cache with the multi cache walk in Krottendorf. Somehow I believed that this cache would be somewhere near the route of the multi cache and so I did not look up the exact location of the cache on a map. With no map and no knowledge of the area, it was harder than expected to find a way to the cross. Actually, as it turned out later it would have been best to follow the road a little bit further. Instead I crossed a forest area, then walked along the edge of some fields, then crossed a creek and again walked along quite muddy areas until I finally arrived at the cross - this approach was only possible in Winter time. It was hard to see the cross from a larger distance so I already thought that I must have made a mistake with the coordinates (or that the description at oc.de contained a mistake). Everything was ok, however. A and B were quickly determined. I made a small break at the bench to reduce the weight of my shoes by some relevant factor (by removing some mud ....). Fortunately, the cache was easy to find.

Thank you for hiding the cache which together with the nearby Krottendorf multi provided me with a pleasant walk on a surprisingly warm and sunny day at the end of December. I would not have enjoyed the cache as a quasi drive-in, but the adventurous approach I took made the cache more rewarding for me. The area around the cross is, however, in any case a peaceful location which warrants to be visited. I wondered, however, a bit whether it would not have been possible to include this location into the Krottendorf multi cache.
