When Pluto lost his status as a planet in September 2006, he sadly
retreated to the outmost parts of our solar system. After 76
statements of solidarity during operation GC1EFF8, he is back at
his place, accepting his fate.
Or so it may seem! Unbeknown to us, he changed to the Dark Side and
seeks revenge on Earth's astronomers. To achieve this, he
constructed the ultimate weapon, a so called Death Star, in his
secret construction site, a weapon with just one purpose: destroy
Earth and bring doom to humanity.
The fate of our planet now lies with a small group of Jedi-Cachers,
guardians of peace and order in our solar system.
The Death Star is currently on its way from its construction
site to its final firing position, being on the intersection of the
connecting line between the fire-control system located on Neptune
and the target and the connecting line between the fire-control
systems located on Saturn and Uranus.
To stop Darth Pluto and prevent the Earth from being destroyed, you
have to find this point. From there you will find the Death Star in
a distance of 21m, bearing 243°.
The fate of Earth and humanity is in your hands. Good luck.
Please do not search for this cache at noon if possible, since there will be lots of Muggles at the final.
If there is a lot of snow, it might be very hard or even impossible to search for this cache!

Bitte bei Statusänderungen, die auf geocaching.com durchgeführt werden, auch immer hier den Status ändern.
Dieser Cache ist auf geocaching.com (GC25VXT) archiviert und hier nicht mit dem Attribut "OC only" versehen. Das letzte Funddatum liegt lange zurück und das Ownerlog auf geocaching.com läßt darauf schließen, dass der Cache nicht weiter existieren soll. Aus diesem Grunde archiviere ich ihn auch hier. Sollten sich später neue Aspekte ergeben, so kann dieses Listing durch den Owner selbständig über ein "kann gesucht werden"-Log reaktiviert werden.

Was man nicht alles für Sachen entdeckt, wenn man geocacht. Da sind wir doch schon mehrfach durchs Sonnensystem gelaufen, ohne es zu bemerken. Das wird uns nach diesem Cache nicht mehr passieren. DFDC

Ein sehr interessanter Geocache. Wir haben zwar anfangs ein bisschen Bedenkzeit gebraucht um Uranus, Neptun und Saturn zu finden, aber nachdem wir dann sicher die Lösung hatten war es umso befriedigender. Ein alles in allem sehr gelungener Cache. Allein die Position des Finals relativ zum Start fanden wir ein bisschen unpassend.

Vor ein paar Wochen waren Cachekollege "pino59" und ich in einer anderen Mission hier in der Nähe und haben die Gelegenheit genutzt uns vor Ort ein wenig kundig zu machen. Die Feuerleit-Stationen waren zwar schnell ausgemacht, aber irgendwie scheiterte es an der Umsetzung des Listings in die Praxis. Da ich mir die Positionen der Stationen aber gemerkt hatte, setzte ich mich daheim nochmal an den Rechner und las mir das Listing noch mal ordentlich durch.
