Mundalsdalen

This cache will lead you to Heimastølen in Mundalsdalen (Mundal valley) near Fjærland. Here you can find abandoned and some still farmed sæter (mountain pastures) with a lot of sheep and cows. The mountain pastures in Mundalsdalen have been in use until the late 1950's. The milk of the cows was used for the production of butter an Gammalost.
From the cache location you can start hiking tours to Mundalsfjellstølen (1 - 1,5 hours) or to Holten sæter.

Dieser Cache ist auf geocaching.com archiviert und hier nicht mit dem Attribut "OC only" versehen. Das letzte Funddatum liegt lange zurück und/oder die Logs bei geocaching.com lassen darauf schließen, dass der Cache nicht mehr existiert. Aus diesem Grunde archiviere ich ihn auch hier. Sollten sich später neue Aspekte ergeben und der Cache wieder aktiviert werden, so kann dies durch den Owner selbstständig über ein "Kann gesucht werden Log" erfolgen.
