This "circuit through Linn" shows you a very old and beautiful part of Krefeld.

The trail is about 2km long and can be done well with the stroller.

Linn is best known through the castle and the flat market, which takes place every year at Pentecost.

The town was first mentioned in a Linn Kaiserswerther document which was written from 1090 to 1120. The place belongs since 1901 to the city of Krefeld, and today about 600 people live in the historic center.

Cache Description

You can park at: N 51 ° 20.156 E 006 ° 38.118. Installations at the weekend may be somewhat full. At Pentecost, you need not to try the first, through the flat market, all parking spaces in the area covered and must be paid.

It's happening at:
Station 1: N 51 ° 20.042 E 006 ° 38.205
You're at a place where the past has been a flat market. The market was flat in 1315 as Linn was collected by the city. The farmers brought their flax to this place and exchanged one against him other things. The last flat market took place in 1903 and then fell into oblivion. 1974 was a new beginning tackled and since 1978 there is again a flat market. More information at: http://www.flachsmarkt.de

On what day in November, the old flat market was always held?:

A = __ __

This is the day of Saint Andrew.

Station 2: N 51 ° 20.036 E 006 ° 38.226
Here now is a museum of textiles, but what was here before?
If you've found it, you can say for sure when it was first mentioned:

___ ___ ___ ___ The simple sum is:

B = __ __

Station 3: N 51 ° 20.0 (A +12) E 006 ° 38.(A * B-124) => N 51 ° 20.0 ____ E 006 ° 38.______
Here you can see the excavated remains of the Catholic Parish Church of St. Margaret, founded shortly after 1300.
How many years since the north tower stood here only?

C = __ __ (Pasch one!)

Station 4: N 51 ° 20.0 (B-1) E 006 ° 38.(A * B-C +5) => N 51 ° 20.0 ____ E 006 ° 38.______
Here is a historical building (unfortunately a bit hidden behind a large gate).
According to today's spelling there is something wrong with the name. Look over the gate! Take the wrong letter and replaces it with the part of the alphabet.

D = __

rot13codedhint:guryrggreUvfgurfrnepurqyrggre

Station 5: Now, go on ... always on the 'wall' in length.
On the wall, on the lookout .....
On the way to Station 6 You will pass another historic courtyard, the Beckerhof.
When he was first occupied? ___ ___ ___ ___The (simple) (cross) sum is

E = __ __

Station 6: N 51 ° 20.(D * B-3) E 006 ° 38 (A * BC-e +1) => N 51 ° 20._____ E 006 ° 38.______
Here is another courtyard with tower can be seen in the garden, the Bakenhof.
Right to the gateway there are a lot house numbers. Add all the numbers:

F = __ __ __

Station 7: N 51 ° 20.0 (A + D + E) E 006 ° 38 (A + F) => N 51 ° 20.0____ E 006 ° 38.______
Here you can read, when the mill was first mentioned: ___ ___ ___ ___ The checksum (cross sum) is

G = __

If you follow the road and look around the corner, you can see the mill wheel.
This was the only watermill not only in Linn but whole Krefeld.>br /> But now on to the next station, which shows you where you really just are!

Station 8: N 51 ° 20 (W * D +7) E 006 ° 38 (FGE-4) => N 51 ° 20._____ E 006 ° 38.______
Now you can see where you were already everywhere. Have I missed something? Oh yes, there's still a baroque garden shed, but I spare you the walk, it is not visitable. But you must tell me just from when the house is: ___ ___ ___ ___ The simple sum is

H = __ __

FINAL
Final: N 51° 20.0((H*G-C-A+1) E 006° 38.0(H+G+2) => N 51° 20. 0 __ __ E 006° 38. 0 __ __

For check:
the sum of all numbers in the N-coordinate gives the value 18:

5 + 1 + 2 + 0 + 0 + ___ + ___ = 18
the sum of all numbers in the E-coordinate gives the value 24:

6 + 3 + 8 + 0 + ___ + ___ = 24

Anyone still in the mood to run a little more, now go to the cache GC11967 "bridges in Krefeld #3."
This lies about 1km from station 6. Along the water to the east.
