Da auf dieser Plattform eh nicht gesucht wird, archiviere ich diesen Cache hiermit.

When I started to seriously attack this mystery it soon became apparent that there were two ways of finding this cache: by solving the puzzle and with the help of both logs and log pics as well as instinct. In the end, sadly, the latter approach won out: the formula was a little too forgiving, one log perhaps a little too indiscreet and one or two log pics a tad too revealing, so that when I arrived near my guesstimated coords I was soon deprived of all doubt that the search was over. Which certainly left me a little dissatisfied because I'd got quite far (from my point of view) with the puzzle, and I had a good inkling what to look for, but somehow that final eureka never came. It happens rather rarely, but I'm inclined to revisit the puzzle regardless of the fresh smiley on my GC map. This really was a neat one so far.
As for the outdoor part: prime location, better than most I'd say. Though I must confess that to say that I'm "not too fond of spiders" - particularly ones this size - is quite some understatement.
The snugness with which the cache fit into its hideaway was somehow reflective of this whole caching experience - even in spite of me being unable to crack the puzzle -, so I'm leaving an FP.

Dank der Vorarbeit von bb10 rundeten wir den Cache-Tag mit diesem Final ab, zumindest für mich.
Vielen Dank für eine atemberaubende Location, auch wenn ich in dem Fall der Landposten war.
