After having read the logs for this cache, I was quite sceptical whether this cache might be suitable for me as I hate long searching times for micros in a forest area.

As the weather was so nice today and I could not decide for a destination for a walk, I decided to give this cache a try.

The parking lot was already known to me. Stage 1 was very easy to find. The hideout is indeed a bit exposed. To arrive at Stage 2 I crossed a meadow area which was possible today, but I do not know whether this is possible in Summer time. At Stage 2 I first searched for quite some time at the wrong side of the path. Moreover, I had to take care not to be observed by people from the nearby house or by people having a walk.

At Stage 3 I had to wait for some time until a man who apparently was going up and down the same hill with his nordic walking poles several times left. Then I found the micro rather quickly despite the fact that the reception was bad. At first I took the wrong route towards Stage 4, but realized my mistake soon.

I approached Stage 4 in a partially trackless manner. I was very surprised when I realized that I had arrived at Stage after about an hour despite a few breaks and my long searching time at Stage 2. Despite the fact that the reception was very bad at Stage 4, I found the micro relatively quickly after having checked a few other places. My intuition helped me in finding the micro. It was, however, not that easy for me to get the micro as the ground was slippery and this sort of terrain is not well-suited for my leg. Like hman27 it was also not clear to me how to reach Stage 5 as my GPS is map-less. I took again a partially trackless approach - I managed to arrive at Stage 5 without having to cross any thorny areas, however.

The micro at Stage 5 was not difficult to find. I had to take care, however, to be quick as a large group consisting of adults and children approached. As they went into the same direction as I needed to go to visit the final stage of this cache, I had to wait for quite some time as they were walking very slowly.

The reception in the target area was very bad and my GPS
behaved very jumpy. I found the cache at my second attempt at a place which I had had inspected before, but not carefully enough as I had somehow expected a larger box (my fault as I had not looked at the size of the cache in the description). The area around the cache is still wet, but the cache container and its contents are in good condition. If the weather stays like it was today, I guess that the location will quickly dry up.

I liked this cache more than I had expected in advance. It was a nice walk and I was lucky that I did not have to search for a stage for a long time. Apart from one stage, the walk was very easy (easier than I had expected from the 3* terrain rating). In Summer time it will probably be much more challenging to find all stages as the reception is already less than ideal now in Winter time.
It might be a good idea to add hints for the micros (this will also help cachers in case a micro goes missing) or at least some of them, in particular Stage 4. If no hints are supplied, I suggest to increase the difficulty rating of this cache. For a cache with 6 stages where a container has to be found and where no hints are supplied, 2* is quite a low difficulty rating.

Despite the waiting and searching times that accumulated over this cache, I arrived back at my car after less than 2.5 hours.

Thank you for showing me a nice area which was not yet known to me. A Winter day with sunny weather like today is probably an ideal day to visit this cache. In this manner the micros are not too hard to find and it is possible to enjoy a nice view at some points along the cache route.

Skipped the stage that annoyed me last time. The box was quickly found as it was in plain sight next to a tree. I tried to cover it a bit better. The hiding place is unfortunately a small lake..

Gave up at stage 4 after about 2 hours (about 1,25 hours for the previous stages). No gps reception, hundreds of possibilities, slippy terrain and no more daylight.
