You are going to visit the ruin of Alt-Wolfstein (Old~), buildings go back to the 10th century. What you can see today, are the ruins of a castle built in the second half of the 12th century. It was destroyed in 1504 and not reestablished, because by that time there already was Neu-Wolfstein.

About 100 years younger, it lasted a lot longer, too. It was destroyed in 1688, rebuilt and destroyed again in 1713. Then rebuilt again, it was the home of the catholic priest till 1798, since 1930 Neu-Wolfstein is a memorial to soldiers and civilian population of Wolfstein, who died in the two world wars.

In the remains of Alt-Wolfstein you will find a micro with the coords of the final.
Bring enough time and have a look at the small town of Wolfstein itself. If you come here on sunday, you may want to visit a mine open to visitors between 13.00 and 18.00.

Neue Dose am Finale. Dem Mikro an Stage 1 geht's nach wie vor gut, allerdings sind lange Hosen angebracht.

Hallo! Die Suche heute hat mir großen Spaß und Lust auf mehr gemacht. Es war mein erster Cache; berg-huette hat ja schon Erfahrung ;-)
Ich fand den Schwierigkeitsgrad genau richtig, und daher sehr motivierend. Ich glaube, ich muss mir dringend ein GPS zulegen...

Ich hab mich heute mittag gemeinsam mit Koerpi auf den Weg gemacht das Cache zu finden. Der Micro war relativ einfach zu finden, etwas schwerer taten wir uns mit dem finalen Cache. Aber Koerpi hatte seine Nase vorn... ;-)
Insgesamt brauchten wir ca 1 Stunde inkl. Rückweg.

Bei kaltem Herbstwetter die „Alt-Wolfstein“ erfolgreich erklommen. Der Micro hat uns zwar ein wenig aufgehalten dann lief aber alles problemlos.
