Description    Deutsch  ·  English

Start at the same parkingplace as described at Weissenbachl I
There are two approaches:
Go up through the canyon until you reach Weissenbachl I and follow the faint trail upwards until you reach the path on the side of the canyon(Terrain 4*, somewhat dangerous)
It's easier to follow this path from its beginning. The path starts at the end of the short logging road leading into the Weissenbach canyon.

You need to be free of giddiness and have sure footing to follow the path. You reach the creekbed again after an ascent of approx. 1h.
The cache is hidden under a significant overhang in the wood on the side of the hunters path.

Tolle Wanderung.

When I read the descriptions of two Weissenbachl caches it appeared to me that the second one should be the easier one as it is reachable on a path. As I was quite sure that I would not manage to go from the first cache to the second, we decided to visit only Weissenbachl II today and leave the other one for another day.

It was very hot during our ascent and we sweated a lot. We had some small difficulties at the beginning to find the start of the path, but Alice quickly managed to find the transmitter station. The first part of the path was not that difficult for me, but the place where a rather exposed short gravel part had to be crossed I had to work up all my courage to finally dare the first step and to manage this part. I was already close to giving up. Afterwards the path became easier again, but the ascent was tiresome due to the high temperature. As we had no reception at all, we had to rely exclusively on the cache description. We did not even have the spoiler photograph with us as the printer mixed up the order of the photos. Due to Alice's intuition for cache hideouts, the right place was nevertheless soon identified. The cache box and its contents are in good condition. I was very glad that the cache is not any longer located higher up the canyon as I was glad to be able to return as I was already quite tired after this hike and eager to get something cool to drink.

Thanks for hiding this nice cache in a magnificent landscape - I would never have visited the location without a cache there as I have never before heard of the Weissenbach and have never been in the area.
