Found 30 March 2007 Kletzl found the geocache

Heute nachmittags gefunden.

Found 07 August 2005 reini found the geocache

Found 31 March 2005 xro found the geocache

[Today on the second try, I finally found the Cache almost imediately and half by accident. On the way to where I though the cache would be I passed another "wodden letterbox" that contained the cache. Needless to say, the coordinates are indeed far off (as far as 50m I would say).]
The first time here we thoroughly searched the area left and right the street, so I was a bit stumped to find it today far off the area we searched and right next to where I had parked my car :->

Found 10 January 2005 Chiroptera found the geocache

Found 19 December 2004 oe1iks found the geocache

Found 21 August 2004 namklaw found the geocache

Today the complete namklaw-team (H+A+Nash+Sue) are visiting vienna.
After Jubiläumskisterl we tried (well prepared by reading the logs) Cordon Bleu.
It works well. Our very first contact with one of the famous ILLY-Tin's by The Plank.
As written in the logs, we were equipped with a well selected new plastic bag.
Thank you to The Plank for this fine hiding place.
Cache = OK (new plastic bag)

Found 31 July 2004 peter61 found the geocache

At the third attempt I finally succeeded. The first attempt was in autumn last year. It should be my second cache, just after Jubiläumskisterl, but it became nr. fifty. I searched for quite a while. I read the hint two times and looked around and used my compass. At last I found the cache.
The cache is alright, but the plastic bag need to be renewed. Maybe the next cacher can change it.

Found 03 May 2004 bevema found the geocache

After relaxing a little bit with 'Jubiläumskisterl' I relaxed even further with this cache. The weather on Monday evening was sunny and warm, I just took a bit too lokg fir the previous cache. With over-confidence I started to look for the cache. No success. I searched for 20 min, once again sunset coming and leaving me in the darkness :(. Just after studying the hints, and close to giving up, I finally succeded. The cache was very hard to reach, my arms were almost to short, and I'm close to 1,90 m in height. So I shortened the depth of the hide with the help of a few spare branches, so that also cachers like Gavriel have a chance to reach the cache. I even camouflaged it with a handful of dry leaves.

Found 12 April 2004 M.W. found the geocache

I was delighted to find this cache today morning after night-duty. The compass was very usefull and leaded me to the place, but I grabbed in different letter-boxes nearby before and felt like Herr Röhrich in a certain scene of "Werner Beinhart". The  cache is save&dry.

Thx to ThePlank!

Found 05 December 2003 cezanne found the geocache

This was my second cache today after the creVIce cache. I enjoyed the walk from the creVice cache to this cache despite the fact that the weather was not fine. I did not need to use a city map - following the GPS did work out well. I had to search for this cache for a while. The GPS reception was not good today and the coordinates are indeed somewhat off. I am wondering whether maybe this is connected to the fact that theplank apparently has first chosen the coordinates and then tried to find a hiding place for the cache at those cooordinates. I would not be able to hide a cache using that approach, but I have met a German cacher who typically first sets up the calculations in the cache descriptions and thus also the coordinates and then starts to search for hideouts at the previously chosen coordinates.

The cache is in good condition. It was, however, not easy to open the lid of the coffee box.

I am really surprised that a cache can survive that long at such a place without getting stolen.

BTW: The hint is quite amusing when read at home, but in my opinion it is rather long for being decrypted on the spot, and even more importantly, it contains information that is not necessary for finding the cache. If theplank ever gets the chance to Copenhagen, I recommend to him to visit some of the early caches of kongie. This geocacher has a special sense of humour and often has put jokes in the hint section which did not help at all in finding the cache location.

Thanks for this cache which brought me to an area of Vienna I have never visited before.
