Description    Deutsch (German)

This one is for everybody who likes stories. Please only go for this cache after nightfall, because in broad daylight you may be observed at the cache area. All stages are illuminated, but at the cache location a torch is recommended (although there is absolutely no need to enter a dark forest). The cache can also easily be done by bike/motorbike or car if you'd like to.

So here we go with our story, imagine…

It is a warm starry night in late September and you are sitting on a small stone wall (WP 1: N 47° 05.245 E 15° 16.788) in the little village of St. Oswald waiting for someone you have never met before in your life.

As you sit and wait, some teens in a red sports car stop by and start talking total nonsense to you, they do this probably because they consider themselves to be very cool or something. However, given the circumstances you decide to ignore them and therefore you direct your mind onto a quadratic and illuminated object moving in front of you. Which number the two big letters on the object correspond to when you use the key (A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4 etc.). So a=? and b=?

Finally finding that this is no real fun, the teens in the red car vanish as fast as they had shown up and there you are on your own again. It is only a few moments later that you realize a person is approaching from the left side. As it is already late and there are no other people on the street you assume that it must be the "someone" you have waited for and you turn out to be right.

Slowly you get up from your seat, as you speak you notice that your "Hello" sounds a bit too quiet and no matter how hard you try, you just can't help wearing your most bashful smile. Anyway, the two of you swiftly decide to have a little walk, and off you go!!

Heading for the direction "someone" just came from thoughts are racing across your mind. While you are trying to adjust to the situation and get into a smalltalk you take the uphill path on the left side until you reach WP 2: N 47° 05.217 E 15° 16.837. Arriving there you admire the beautifully illuminated church and recognize in passing by a number of very bright and small-sized lights next to the steps which lead up to the church. How many lights are there? (c=?)

Still you are trying to say something that could be of interest, but somehow it is like all words have left you and there is only a big black space in your head. While walking along you are asking yourself what could be the reason for this, but you just can't find the answer. The only thing you can think of properly is that you very much like "someone", who seems to be so different compared to anybody you have met before. At WP 3: N 47° 05.292 E 15° 16.856 you see a very small, blue and as well illuminated building and after reading the inscription you think that you indeed could need some help from holy ... what's his name? Count the name's letters! (d=?).

Returning to WP 1 the two of you decide to extend your walk and go to WP 4: N 47° 05.481 E 15° 15.778

The further you and "someone" are walking the more you start chatting and suddenly there are so many things to say that you do barely notice that you pass a few hundred meters without any streetlight at all. After quite a long and amusing walk, respectively talk you arrive at a little green space, which you were (more or less ) accidentally heading for.

Arriving, you and "someone" take a seat at the bench. Everything around you is dark, only the tiny green space is illuminated by a single lantern. Very romantic setting, you may think. As you sit there you feel balanced and happy and you cannot think of any place you'd rather be in this very moment. After quite some time you two decide to make your way back to where you started, before you leave, please note the year that is written on the plate on the bench. The first number of the year = e

You will find what you are looking for at:

N 47° 05.(a*32)+c+b+28
E 15° 15.(d*47)+d-e-20

Walking along, still sourrounded by the warm dark night you are looking at "someone" from the side and smile. You recognize that you are getting closer and closer to your starting point and the way back seems pretty short to you.

Finally returning, it is now time to say goodbye, you thank "someone" for the nice evening and leave. Throwing back one last glance over your shoulder you think that this may be the beginning of something really great.

Wieder die gleiche Situation wie beim letzten Mal. Ankunft in der Dämmerung, 2 Autos parken auf der Wiese direkt beim Cache, der Hochstand mit den Fahrern der Autos besetzt.

As I decided to go for another cache this evening I noticed that this cache was, in fact, very close to the other cache I wanted to visit. This cache has been on my ToDo-list for quite a while, but I never got around to drive there as it's somehow off the usual directions and I wasn't sure if it's a good idea to go there by bike.
In fact it was a great idea, the road wasn't that bad (not much traffic today) and the area was very nice. On the way to stage 4 I was very glad that I had the bike.
Even though it wasn't dark enough for the lights to turn on I had no problems to get the necessary values. More or less driving by the values were all quickly obtained.
The cache was quickly found and it's still in good condition - thanks.

The story underlying this cache is very nice and has a romantic touch. I visited the first stages of the cache in daylight (but too late to be able to visit the church from insider) and arrived at the cache area when it was already close to being dark. Due to a typo I first went to a wrong place - the coordinates led me into a dark forest. With the corrected coordinates the cache area and the cache itself were easy to find. The cache box and its contents are in good condition.

I particularly liked Stage 2. At Stage 1 I had expected a slightly more romantic place .....

Thanks for showing me the nice village of St Oswald where I have never been before.

Leider No Trade, da wir nix Passendes mithatten.
