Diesen winzigen Park habe ich noch nie gesehen.

War der erste Cache des Tages

Unser 1. Cache in Graz. Haben heute auch noch weitere Parks besucht. TFTC. No trade

Beim 2. Anlauf rasch gefunden! Ist bei tageslicht gar nicht so Furcht einflößend.

netter kleiner Teich - da wir nicht alleine waren, haben wir sofort auf den hint zugegriffen und wurden gleich fündig.

Ha! Heute hat es endlich geklappt. Die letzten Male wurde ich immer wieder von Muggles vertrieben, aber dank der 38° war kein Mensch im Park.
Cache war zum Glück auch recht schnell gefunden.

Getting back into routine as riding a bike in the city is regarded and getting off this cache from my cache list .....

I have lived several years not that far from the target area of this cache. As I have not visited the area for ages, I wanted to see if it is still as ugly as in former times. Well, it appears to be. What has changed is that the number of foreign people standing around is much, much larger than roughly thirty years ago. I do not think that the small park in which this cache is located existed back then. I could not find any information on the history of the park. (By the way, if this park had not already existed in 2003, the stairs up to the clock tower would perhaps have been renamed as Friedenssteig instead of Kriegssteig.)

To be honest, the park to which this cache is dedicated is not what I consider to a nice park and in particular not a nice place to have a small break there. The only part I liked is the pond with the water-lilies. They reminded me of paintings of Monet and my visits to French museums.

When I arrived today in the evening in the park, many young people were around and created a lot of noise. I did not feel comfortable at all. Fortunately, it was not yet dark and the group who was closest to the cache left after a few minutes. So I was able to retrieve, log and rehide the cache. Although I did not have a GPS-R with me, the cache was very easy to find. The hideout is not idyllic at all, but at least not that open as it is the case for many urban caches.

This cache in some sense is a typical later member of a cache series: after some time, even in the best case the good locations are already used up. I would not recommend this cache to tourists. The park cache series made me think about the reasons why Graz has a much lower number of parks that I consider as nice as many other cities I have in mind.

Alles war da: Die Waldschrats, der Park, der Teich, Unmengen an Müll, eine Jugendgruppe die uns sehr genau beäugte und ein Versteck ABER eines fehlte: der Cache. :-(

Wirklich ein netter kleiner "Park" hier, wenn man in der Nähe grad mal Pause macht, sicher empfehlenswert.

OUT: Salburg-Coin / IN: nix, kann ja beim Laufen nicht so viel Zeug mitschleppen... ;)

Am Weg zum Onkel Zahndoktor :-( noch schnell vorbeigefahren um einen coin zu droppen, der passte dann aufgrund seines Durchmessers leider nicht rein.

irgendwie ist das aber kein multi oder??

Schnell auf dem Weg zur Besprechung für das nächste inoffizielle Cachertreffen mit Gustus gehoben.

Lord Harry und ich haben uns gemeinsam auf die Suche gemacht. Wir haben dann auf dem Weg zum Cache spekuliert: ist es ein Himbeer oder ein Marillenmarmeladeglas? Welche Überraschung. Weder noch. Aber seht selber nach. Naja, schnell gefunden. Danke fürs Verstecken.

Diesmal fehlten uns wirklich nur Minuten zum FTF. Sehr netter kleiner Park. Wir trafen auch aj-gps und (wie solls auch anders sein) Wild-Wuggis :-)

Der mitgebrachte Coin, den wir einlegen wollten, passte leider nicht rein.

19:52 - waypoint added to gps-r, distance 3,5km
19:57 - starting approach by bike
20:09 - arrived at the target area, driving distance 4,2km, speed hardly ever below 30kph
20:12 - retrieved the box, logging. Two people with their dog in the park, can't rehide the box.
20:17 - WildWuggis arrives. While he is busy getting his things together I opened the passenger door and handed him the cache box. You should have seen his face.
20:23 - WildWuggis rehides the cache box.
20:27 - n.wiesenhofer arrives. Pleased to meet you. Coin trading.
20:40 - Left the scene.
