Danke fürs pflegen , toller Ort .

Urlaub auf Korfu. Da darf ein Döschen nicht fehlen. Heute haben wir unser Mietwagen bekommen und gleich Mal ausgetestet. Diese Dose war unser erstes Ziel. Leider war die Sonne kurz zuvor untergegangen, sodass die Heimfahrt im dunkeln stattfand.

Bei einer Rundwanderung schnell gefunden. Die Koordinaten weichen ca 15. Meter ab. Vorsicht Spinnen.

After long searching we finaly found it - now proper coords are: N39 21.851 E20 6.441. Thanks for showing us this place!

Auf einer kurzen Wanderung bei über 30 Grad tapfer geschwitzt und  bei den Ruinen des Klosters zunächst die Aussicht in die Tiefe fotografiert und dann auf die Suche gemacht. Die Koords sind irreführend, das Listing passt. Das Döschen ist neu und in der Wand beim Glockenturm.

Auf kleiner Tour mit den Kiddies haben wir die alten Ruinen besucht und die Dose nach kurzer Suche gefunden! Danke fürs Herlocken und den Cache!

a warning to all geocachers trying to find it: there is a hornets nest in the vicinity of the monastery entrance, which we walked right into.

luckily we were not stung, but a couple of hornets came out to guard their lair. They might be there for a while. The cache is well worth the short trip up the hill. Don't take your car, the olive meadows on the way are worth the walk. pack a towel and bathing suit, there is a (not so secret as there are signs everywhere) beautiful "secret" beach branching off the path, about 400m deviation from the cache. we spent a couple of hours there and it's well off the tourists regular spots. pack some sunscreen aswell, because there is no shade unless you bring your own umbrella.

the inn owners we are staying with told us, that the monastery was destroyed about a decade ago by an earthquake and there are plans to rebuild it next year, so go grab the cache while it's still there!

Nach 7,5 km Fußmarsch vom Hotel Capo di Corfu bei dieser schönen Aussicht schnell gefunden.

Das Suchwiesel und sein Assistent haben de Cache vorsichtig, trotz weiterer Besucher, um 16.15 Uhr geloggt.

Ein wunderschön verfallenes Kloster im äußersten Süden... fantastische Fotokulisse!
Wir haben kurz zuvor einen Cache in einem weiteren (nicht ganz so) verfallenen Kloster im äußersten Nordosten versteckt!

Die Dose war übrigens gar nicht getarnt, wir haben das aber alles wieder gerichtet und unauffällig hinter Steinen verborgen. Leider ist das Logbuch und auch das Ersatzlogbuch restlos voll, und ich war einfach viel zu faul nochmal herzukommen um es zu ersetzen... im Auto hatte ich ja genügend A7 Notizblöcke dabei. Hätte ich es nur vorher bedacht, immer eins dabei zu haben...

Haben heute um 11:15 Uhr den Cache gefunden, braucht nur ein paar Schritte gehen da wir mit einem Geländwagen dort waren ganz schön versteckt. Haben den Cache in der Mauer aber schnell gefunden es sagen danke für diesen schönen Cache Mai-Stier und Frau

Hallo erst mal ein echt schöner Cache haben ihn auch gut gefunden, muss aber sagen das wir nicht erst die 2.ten oder 3.ten waren es waren schon mindestens 20 Leute hier. Schade das die sich nicht eingetragen haben. Habe dort einen Geocoin gefunden und nehme ihn mit auf die Reise noch mal vielen Dank fuer diesen Cache hätten das alte Kloster sonst nicht gefunden. LG Mai-Stier und Frau aus dem sonnigen Corfu 

P.S. Der Cache wurde aber schon mindestens 20 x gefunden wurde aber leider nicht auf dieser Seite hier geloggt. Schade

Thank you for showing us a very interresting place. It was not so easy to get there but we had a lot of fun. We made a lot of photos from the ruins, the beautiful landscape and the cacheguards (spiders)
