The Closure Dike is a dike, which separates the Ijsselmeer from the North Sea.
The dike was built between 1927 and 1932 and transformed the formerly (salt water) Zuiderzee to the fresh water lake Ijsselmeer.
At the listing coordinates, there is a parking area together with a view point and a view tower.
In order to log the cache, two tasks have to be fullfilled:
- Below the tower, there is a big plate with a saying in the upper area. The first four words of this saying form the log password (in uppercase letters, like written on the plate).
- Take a picture which proves, that you have been here personally. The picture should show yourself, your gps device or a personal item (e.g. a trackable). The picture should be taken somewhere in the are of the parking area.
Of course, there is no need to walk on the motorway!

Thanks mambofive for this cache. Sorry for the standard log on my tour through NL, D, DK and PLN but I do not just GC while touring. If there is anything special, good or bad, I will add a comment at the beginning.

The second day of our vacation in Julianadorp. As the weather was expected to be not so nice, we decided to use the car to visit some nices caches in the area.
Of course we stopped at the dam to take a look around and also log this nice virtual cache.

Windig! Schöner Cache an dieser besonderen Stelle. Hatte erst das falsche Schild, aber nach kurzer Rückfrage beim freundlichen Owner konnte ich loggen. Vielen Dank!

Kalt und windig war es heute auf dem Abschlussdeich.
Trotzdem habe ich es mir nicht nehmen lassen, die Logbedingungen zu erfüllen.

Komme heute endlich dazu,hier zu loggen. Am Montag auf der Rückfahrt von Texel nach Deutschland haben wir eine kurze Pause eingelegt, um uns das Ijsselmeer von oben zu betrachten. In der Ferne konnte man Texel gut erkennen und die Teso-Fähre, die gerade unterwegs war. Sucher 777 sagt Danke für das zeigen.
