Das war heuer immerhin schon meine dritte Teilnahme am Rendezvous.. es wird langsam.. :)

Heute Abend hat sich der kleine aber unheimlich neugierige Stamm der Riedindianer im heimischen Wigwam vor dem magischen Kasten versammelt um bei seinem ersten virtuellen Event teilzunehmen.

Ough yet another new-years-global-talk. I would greatly admire to take part in this first 2024's event!

It was very interesting to attend a virtual event at Opencaching.de, especially while we were writing a blog about opencaching. We learned a lot during this event!

Aber speziell über Safaris habe ich heute einiges gelernt, ich hatte das Prinzip noch nicht echt verstanden. Danke für den interessanten Abend.

Heute war es mir leider nicht möglich von Anfang an dabei zu sein, aber auch als Nachzügler fand ich das Event doch sehr informativ! Auch nächstes Jahr werde ich daher dann auch wieder von Anfang an dabei sein.

... und vielleicht wird es dann auch langsam mal Zeit auf OC nicht nur Caches zu finden, sondern auch mal einen zu legen! Jetzt weiß ich ja, wie man nen Safari gestaltet!

Hidden Legends

Ein ganzes Jahr ist schon wieder vergangen und ein neues Rendezvous stand an. Schön, dass man wieder neue Leute in einer netten Runde kennenlernen konnte. Die kurzweilige Zeit war gespickt mit sehr vielen Informationen.

Danke an alle Teilnehmer, und es freut mich, daß einige Erklärungen auch hilfreich waren. Besonderer DANK gilt dem Gast aus Übersee (tommygator), der den Geist dieses Events, nämlich die knotenweite Verständigung, aufrecht hielt. Und DANK auch an schatzforscher, der gut darauf aufpasste, daß dieses Event nicht zum Monolog abglitt. Weiterhin viel Spaß und vielleicht sehen wir uns schon morgen (zum OC Talk) oder am Donnerstag (zum OC Rätselevent) wieder. Frohes Neues Jahr, Mic@

Cool, das erste Event des Jahres. Auch wenn es für mich ganz neu mal virtuell war.

Vielen Dank für diese nette Runde, die bedeutend länger gedauert hat als erwartet.

Eine nette Runde rund um OC. Wir haben einiges dazu gelernt.

Bis bald mal wieder

Mein erstes OC-Event, auch wenn ich etwas zu kämpfen hatte mit dem schwachen WLAN im Hotel.

Es gab ein paar interessante, neue Informationen von mic@, andere Dinge waren nach einigen Jahren als OC-Member auch bekannt. Es ist aber immer gut, an einige Dinge erinnert zu werden.

Ich bin leider nicht so oft auf OC unterwegs (im Norden an der dänischen Grenze ist es nicht so präsent) und allgemein auch nicht der große Eventteilnehmer, werde aber versuchen in der Zukunft häufiger zeilzunehmen.

Hat Spass gemacht, bis auf das WLAN war die Technik auch perfekt...

Bin mal gespannt, ob das mit der Technik klappt... also bei mir jetzt!

Wir sind neugierig und versuchen dabei zu sein.

I am not really sure whether I will be able to participate on 01 January 2022 after a magnificent New Year's Eve and after the Corona Pandemic, which I have largely overcome (hopefully), but I will do my best.

It was nice to talk to the OC.nl admins and see how their platform works.
Maybe we could show some new features on OC.de soon, e.g. the new design.

Es war nett, mit den OC.nl admins zu reden und inbesondere deren Plattform bei der Arbeit zuzusehen.

'participated in a long OC-talk. Due to bandwith-restrictions it was a muted screen-refresh-nightmare for me. Thanks for the party and happy opencachig 2021.

Heute das erste Mal mit dabei. Vielen Dank für das schöne und interessante Event am Lagerfeuer. Diesmal konnte ich es auch schnell finden. :-)

It would be a pleasure meeting OC users all over the world.

##** I've had an account on oc.de for a long time, but haven't logged a cache there since  Der Laputische Gruß (OC107A) in 2013! Now I know about Safari caches, so maybe the next one will be sooner. This comes at a good time, because every 1-3 months, c:geo has problems logging into GC with my phone using orbot in VPN mode, and there aren't a huge number of ocus hides I haven't found near home. I 2nd the wish for a different meeting site/app next time, but I'm happy Zoom worked OK on Lineage 16 without Gapps, over Tor (with only camera and microphone permissions); however, it did burn 65% battery in 90 minutes +/-. [O:)]

We joined the virtual meeting spontaneously almost as surprise visitor. It was amazing to meet freaks cachers from half around the world and from various platforms, to listen to different views, experiences and suggestions about possible synergies and to see that there are other people like us who use several independent geocaching-websites for many years.

Thanks for creating and organizing the inspiring event and a good and healthy new year and decade with lots of great caching experiences to all participants! :)

PS: For the next rendezvous we suggest (not just for the purpose of opensource) to use a meeting platform which is FOSS (free-to-use & free-of-interrupts) like openmeetings.

Nice to meet but unfortunately only german opencachers met, so we switched the language to german. I hope that next time we will meet international members.

Thanks for this meeting. I've made a mistake so I was 12 hours earlier. But mic@ reminded me. Thank you. I had a nice time.

This was an easy meeting with three participants.
It would have been nice to have more attendees, but unfortunately it was not allowed to recycle my twin listings (e.g. OP8P5D) 
So for next rendezvous on 04-jan-2020 I will create seperate new listings again.

Auch ich war dabei, war aber nur Zuhörer.
Es war eine tolle Erfahrung, aber die Sprachbarrieren waren doch leider größer als gedacht, da nicht jeder Teilnehmer der englischen Sprache mächtig war und andere Teilnehmer dann übersetzen mussten.
Ich werde gerne bei einer Wiederholung dabei sein.

It´s main purpose was to check out the possibilities of zoom.us and the performance with many users logged into it.

@local team: If You like this meeting, then try to establish it on your site on a regular basis, e.g. every first saturday of a month.
Then You can discuss about new features on the platfrom, new apps, nice gimmicks, upcoming events, problems and hints and so on.
And if You record the session, then it´s easy to publish the conversation as a podcast (audio) or on a special youtube channel (video).
Last but not least we should repeat it again, maybe on a yearly basis so that each (pl + .uk + .us +.cz +.de) team can show what
is has been added on their local site and other global topics like OKAPI.
