Power plant Brückenstraße
The Neckar hasn't always been a calm river where you can row your boat or drive a Stocherkahn within of Tübingen but only became one in 1911. That year, the new power plant for Tübingen was put into operation. With a maximum power of 600 kW it still contributes a valuable part of the renewable electric energy for Tübingen. Operator are the municipal works of Tübingen, the electricity is supplied directly to the city network. Since 1995 the plant is under protection as technical heritage.
From the bridge you have a nice view on the castle and main church, which, however, is disturbed by the large parking garage on the southern shore.
The Cache:
The cache can - with usual arm length - be reached from public terrain without any kind of climbing. DO NOT TRY ANOTHER APPROACH. There is no gate in your way either.

Vor ein paar Tagen hier vorbeigekommen, da war die Location durch eine Baustelle blockiert. Ich bezweifel, dass die Dose danach noch am Ort ist. Mal abwarten.

Nachdem ich auf dem Weg zum Umbrisch-Provenzalischen Markt auf diese Dose verzichtet hatte, weil ein Angler zugange war, nutzte ich den Rückweg zu einem schnellen Fund. Überraschenderweise war das Logbuch leer und ich vermelde 2 1/2 Monate nach Veröffentlichung den vollkommen ungeplanten FTF. Danke fürs Verstecken.
