The series SightSeeingVirtualCaches
SightSeeingVirtualCaches are virtual caches that show you sights all over the world. The caches of this series are always OC-Only and can only be logged with a password that can be found at the cache location.
You are welcome to log with a photo,
but this is not mandatory.

Little Germany was a district on the Lower East Side of today's Manhattan, where mainly German immigrants lived. Due to the death of many people important to the community during the General Slocum disaster in 1904, it fell apart shortly afterwards. Today there are only few traces left.
This is the "Freie Bibliothek und Lesehalle" (house number 135) and the former German Dispensary (house number 137). Both houses were designed by William Schickel and built in 1883-1884.

Little Italy, Little China, da kann Little Germany nicht weit sein. Auf dem Weg zum Washington Square Park machten wir einen kleine Schlenker und schauten uns an, was von Little Germany übrig geblieben war.

Anmerkung : Ich signiere das Logbook nicht zwingend chronologisch, sondern nutze freie Stellen die ich vorfinde.Es kommt immer wieder vor,dass ganze Seiten/Zeilen leer gelassen wurden,wodurch dem Cacheowner ein völlig unnötiger Mehraufwand in der Cachepflege entsteht. Sollte ich also nicht hinten zu finden sein,dann steh ich irgendwo früher drin.Versprochen!
