About the location
2 km south of the lively Novi Vinodolski lies the former fishing village of Povile – an insider tip for those who prefer a quieter setting. On the southern edge of Povile, you'll find one of the quietest and most natural beaches on the Croatian Adriatic coast: Dugno Beach. This somewhat hidden, unmarked, natural pebble beach is located in a sheltered bay. On a partially shaded meadow under trees, you can lie on the beach or splash about in the water via the gentle sea entrance. Alternatively, there are a few rocks at different heights from which you can jump into the cool water or simply sunbathe. Underwater springs provide pleasant refreshment and crystal-clear water. Free parking is available along the access road. There are no official facilities (kiosk, changing rooms, etc.) on site.
About the cache
This is a virtual cache – there is no container on site. From the parking lot, head to the beach (either way or the other) and pay attention to the no trespassing sign. The last word on it (three capital letters) is your log password.
Also, take a photo of yourself or an object of your choice on the beach and attach it to your log.

Bei uns im Kroatien-Urlaub gilt derzeit das beste Sommer-Motto überhaupt: Jeder zweite Tag ist konsequent Badetag! So ging es heute für mich, **Doreen1981** und Puky09 wieder ab an den Strand #1. Die Auswahl genau dieser Location war heute schlichtweg perfekt, denn hier gibt es erfreulicherweise schön viel Schatten. Den hatten wir heute auch bitter nötig, da wir uns beim ausgiebigen Schnorcheln in den letzten Tagen leider einen ordentlichen Sonnenbrand zugezogen hatten. 🏖️🪸☀️
Neben dem rettenden Schattenplatz erwies sich Strand #1 auch als absolut fantastische Kulisse für unser Geocaching-Hobby. Heute haben wir glücklicherweise zur genau richtigen Zeit an diesen tollen virtuellen Cache gedacht! So konnten wir das entspannte Kühlen der Haut direkt mit einer kleinen Dose Cacher-Freude verbinden, die Umgebung in vollen Zügen genießen und die gestellte Aufgabe bzw. das geforderte Foto vor Ort problemlos erledigen. Ein wirklich schöner Ort, der unseren Tag am Meer perfekt abgerundet hat! 📸🌊✨
Als wir den Ort am Strand erreichten, haben wir uns erst einmal entspannt umgesehen und den wunderschönen Ausblick auf uns wirken lassen. Natürlich blieben wir trotz der Urlaubsstimmung immer wachsam, was die umliegenden Muggel anging, um unser Anliegen ganz ungestört zu erledigen. Es war eine tolle Überraschung, diesen Spot auf diese Weise zu erleben und ein weiteres erfolgreiches Geocaching-Abenteuer in unserem Urlaubstagebuch zu verbuchen. 📜✍️
Vielen Dank an den Owner für das Ausarbeiten dieses Caches an einer so fantastischen Location und die schöne Möglichkeit, die Umgebung auf diese besondere Art und Weise zu entdecken.
Es war eine tolle Erfahrung, diesen Cache zu besuchen und ein weiteres rundum gelungenes Abenteuer für unser Team!
