A easy Myst where the final location is at N 48° 24.164′ E 10° 51.889′.
📖 The Story
It was in the year 2000 when an inconspicuous container was hidden somewhere in this world –
and thus began an entire movement: geocaching.
25 years have passed since then.
Containers were hidden, containers were found.
Some cachers came, others disappeared.
Some coordinates now lead only to nowhere – overgrown, forgotten, lost.
But 25 years later, in 2025, the community celebrated a special anniversary:
A quarter century of adventure, technology, nature – and numbers.
🧩 The Task
Your Mission:
Find the mysterious number GC to locate the final hiding place.
It is:
-
two-digit
-
begins with a 2 and ends with a 5
-
is greater than 24 and less than 26
-
odd divisible by 1, 5, and 25
-
and a quarter of 100
📍 Calculate the final
Once you've found the number GC, plug it into the formula:
N 48° 24.164 + (GC − 25)
E 10° 51.889 − (GC − 25)
Substituting this gives (let's use 25 as an example):
N 48° 24.164 + (25 − 25) = N 48° 24.164′
E 10° 51.889 − (25 − 25) = E 10° 51.889′

ha encontrado el geocache
Ganz so trivial wie man sich das vorstellt, war das Lösen dann nicht, schließlich musste man erst den kompletten riesigen Listingtext lesen und auch noch verstehen. Hoffentlich deutet man auch alles richtig. :-o Da es hier keinen Checker gibt, muss die Lösung aber wohl eindeutig sein und nachdem ich mit wolle heute fündig wurde, war wohl alles korrekt.
