Edge of the Jungle

Einfache Wanderung zu einem einsamen Platz am Rande von Österreichs grössten Urwaldgebiets Easy hike to a very remote place at the edge of Austria's largest pristine forest area.

In Wildalpen vor der Kirche zum AV-Campingplatz abzweigen und den Alpentour-Schildern bis ins Imbachtal folgen (hierher gelangt man auch von Fachwerk aus). Danach immer der Strasse nach Richtung Startpunkt (lohnend auch für Mountainbikes) folgen. Die letzten paar Kilometer folgt man einer Sandstrasse.

Hinter dem Stahltor das die Forststrasse versperrt geht die Tour los. Keine Sorge, DU darfst da durch, es ist nur dein Auto das hier zurückgelassen werden muss.

Der Cache ist am Ende einer Forststrasse versteckt. Abenteuerliche Naturen können hier den Bach überqueren und den Talschluss weiter erkunden.

The drive to the starting point is part of the adventure. Narrow, quite adventurous roads lead through a narrow, quite adveturous landscape.

In Wildalpen, take the brnach of the street which leads to the AV-Campground (in front of the church) and follow the 'Alpentour'-Signs into the Imbachtal. You can reach this point from Fachwerk as well. Now just follow the road until you reach the starting coordinates. The last few kilometers are a sandroad.

The tour starts behind the steel-gate that blocks the logging-road. (Don't worry, YOU may cross it, it´s just your car that has to stay behind)

The cache is hidden right at the end of a logging-road. Crossing the creak and exploring the upper part of the valley is definatly rewarding.
