Beschreibung
Stone cache in the L'Albufera Nature Park
The L'Albufera Nature Park lies south of Valencia and is one of the most important wetlands on the Iberian Peninsula. The lake L'Albufera, which gives the park its name, is its heart – surrounded by reed belts, pine forests and sand dunes. Over 300 bird species live here, and for centuries rice cultivation has shaped the cultural landscape all around.
Between the lake and the sea, in the pine forests, the dunes and on the beach, it's easy to spend a lovely day. With the cache here, you now have one more waypoint.
Getting there
The park is easy to reach by bus. From "Porta de la Mar", bus line 24 towards "El Palmar" goes directly to the nature park. The journey takes about 50 minutes from the city centre. Get off at one of the stops along the road, and then it's just a short walk (see waypoint).
The cache
This cache works simply: take a stone – ideally a nice one from the beach – write your name on it and place it with the other stones at the cache. You need to bring something to write with yourself, ideally something weatherproof like a permanent marker or a ceramic pen.
The cache is located at the foot of a tree that has grown almost horizontally and stands only a few metres from the path.
If stones ever go missing or are no longer legible – no problem. Just add yours and start the cache anew. The principle stays the same.
Please take a photo of your stone and upload it to the online log. That way, a small gallery will build up over time.

Lugar localizado nada más llegar a las coordenadas.
Es un lugar precioso en donde de pequeño y de adolescente solíamos venir toda la familia a bañarnos.
Entonces por aquella época estaba permitido el baño y la navegación en el lago. Hasta lanchas teledirigidas y barcos a vela por radiocontrol he visto surcar sus aguas. La de vueltas que le di en aquella época a la isla con mi barca de remos inchable. Además, realizaba incursiones a pie por la isla explorando las partes en que su densa vegetación te dejaba adentrarte.
En una ocasión, mi padre cogió mi pequeño barco pirata de Playmobil, y lo dejó a la deriva en el lago para que surcase sus aguas hasta donde el viento lo llevase. El resultado fue que las velas quedaron tiesas y rígidas como la suela de una alpargata por el agua salada, y la pequeña campanita que llevaba a bordo en uno de los mástiles, al ser metálica quedó totalmente oxidada y dejó de sonar jajaja.
Hoy en día está prohibido hacer todo esto, ya que es una zona protegida para las aves.

Junto a Ana, venimos a menudo por el lago del Saler a pasear.
En el lago viven varias especies e aves que estan protegidas por ley y es zona de anidamiento de otras.
Se suelen ver gaviotas, patos y garzas.
El mas llamativo es el flamenco, aunque hay otras aves, como el chorlitejo, que siendo menos llamativas, vienen aqui en busca de alimento y zona para anidar.
El cache esta en buen estado. 
Sin muggles por los alrededores en ese momento (es una zona muy transitada segun dias y horas) hago los tramites en el camino.
Mientras Ana me espera, devuelvo todo a su lugar y seguimos nuestro camino hacia el coche y dar por terminado por hoy el paseo.
