By the Royal Privilege of Pisón de Ojeda, granted by King Don Fernando “the conqueror of Niebla,” Pisón were exempted from the payment of “coin taxes, levies, and any other tributes and rights whatsoever, forever and ever,” on the condition that the council of Pisón maintain two priests who would celebrate daily Holy Mass in the now-vanished church of the Monastery of Santa Marina for the soul of King Don Fernando and his successors, as well as keep an oil lamp lit to illuminate said church day and night. Of the Royal Privilege of Pisón today nothing remains but the memory. The small Monastery of Santa Marina had already disappeared in medieval times, the rights in the 19th century, and what remained of the church in the early years of the 20th century. In the meadow of Santa Marina there now remain only a few stones from the old church that protect a spring, and a couple of centuries-old holm oaks.
The cache is located in the picnic area of the meadow. It must be reached on foot from Amayuelas via the path of the huts, or by the road, crossing the wooden bridge/footbridge over the Burejo River just below the meadow.
