Description
Locate the rock that called: "Chapeau de Napoléon" (Napoleon's Hat).
The coordinates lead you to a
sign with information about the famous rock.
Watch out!
Overlooking the beach of Saint-Guirec you will find the rock.
This rock, reminiscent of Napoleon's famous cocked hat, was associated with the Liberation of France in 1945. On August 3, 1945 at 6 p.m., the BBC launched: 'Is Napoleon's hat still in Perros-Guirec?' This message is of extreme importance because it gives the order for a general insurrection to prevent the arrival of German reinforcements on the Normandy front.

Der einwöchige Bretagne- und Normandie-Trip war eine rundum gelungene Kurz-Reise. Besonders die abwechslungsreiche Mischung aus Küstenlandschaften, historischen Orten und besonderen Sehenswürdigkeiten hat mir gut gefallen. Zudem hatten wir Glück mit dem Wetter: während das restliche Frankreich bei über 32 Grad unter der Hitze litt, waren wir bei angenehmen 20 - 25 Grad unterwegs.
Ein Dank geht an alle Owner, die mir mir ihren Caches eine zusätzliche Freude bereitet haben.

À notre premier visite de la Bretagne et pendant notre belle balade d'ici on à trouvées la cache facilement. Je l'aimer la vue et la nature à la côte.

Was für eine wundervolle Natur hier wir genossen die Tour hier sehr auf unserem Spaziergang in der Gegend.
