Descrizione
A small, now almost completely abandoned, Bornie is located north of the town of Valda, part of the municipality of Altavalle.
It was permanently inhabited until the early 20th century, but with the passing of its last resident, it was transformed into a silent collection of empty houses.
In recent years, renovations have brought the village back to life; however, the charm of a place suspended in time can still be felt.
HOW TO GET TO THE CACHE
The cache can be reached on foot from one of the two indicated parking lots.
If you're not very confident driving on narrow roads with a significant
gradient, park in the winter parking lot. If you have a car or an
off-road vehicle, you can take one of the two roads shown in the photo:
the red road has a gentler gradient, while the blue road has a gradient
of up to 30% and is narrow. Do not take any of the roads with a black
cross: they are not suitable for cars or off-road vehicles.
