This swing bridge was already 100 years old in October 2005. It is listed in the "Denkmalliste"
Built in the beginning 1905 and turned in September 1905 for the first time.
In the central pillar is all the technic equipement of the bridge.
The 650 ton, 70m long structure is lifted and rotated by a spindle king (also called a king chair). One only 30HP powerful motor lifts the bridge by 11 centimeters due to hydraulic pressure of 93 bar. In an emergency, the bridge can also be operated by hand.
Caution! Here reigns partly strong truck traffic, really only change the page if everything is free.
It must be climbed over no railing and no forbidden territory be entered.

In etwas Entfernung zum Mega Event geparkt aufgrund der im Vorfeld beschriebenen Parksituation.
Mit den Rädern dann zum Mega gefahren und auf dem Hinweg schon einen Teil der Rheinhafenrunde und anderer Caches gemacht.

Heute ging es zum Mega-Event ins Hafengebiet.
Auf der Cacherunde auch die Brücke auf dem Rad überquert. Die Dose ein wenig länger gesucht, aber irgendwann hatte Nicky BJ den genau richtigen Griff zum loggen.

Bei der heutigen Tour kamen wir bei dieser Brücke am Cache vorbei. Die Dose wurde entdeckt und das Logbuch signiert. Vielen Dank an dieSchluempfe fürs Herführen und Verstecken! 😀
