Wenn ihr diesen Cache finden möchtet, besucht ihr einen Ort, an dem einst Menschen lebten – heute jedoch längst niemand mehr zu Hause ist. Geschätzt Ende des 19. oder Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde dieses Dorf vollständig verlassen. Vermutlich führten jahrelange Trockenheit, Trinkwassermangel und die Versalzung der Brunnen dazu, dass den Menschen und Tieren hier ihre Lebensgrundlage entzogen wurde.

Einen solchen verlassenen Ort nennt man im Deutschen auch „Wüstung“ – ein Begriff, der hier wohl kaum passender sein könnte.

Si queréis encontrar este caché, visitaréis un lugar donde antiguamente vivieron personas, pero que hoy está completamente abandonado. Se estima que el poblado fue abandonado a finales del siglo XIX o comienzos del siglo XX. Probablemente, años de sequía, la falta de agua potable y la salinización de los pozos hicieron imposible la vida aquí. De un día para otro, desapareció la base de subsistencia tanto para las personas como para los animales.

En alemán, a un lugar así se le llama “Wüstung”, un término que, personalmente, me parece especialmente apropiado para este sitio.

If you want to find this cache, you will visit a place where people once lived, but which has long been completely abandoned. It is estimated that the settlement was deserted in the late 19th or early 20th century. Most likely, years of drought, a lack of drinking water and the salinization of the wells made life here impossible. From one day to the next, the basis of survival for both people and animals disappeared.

In German, such an abandoned place is called a “Wüstung” – a term which, in my opinion, fits this location perfectly.

⚠️ Please make sure to follow these important rules:

1️⃣ Act like an Urban Explorer:
Feel free to look around, enjoy the special atmosphere and take photos – but please do not destroy anything, do not change anything and, if possible, do not touch anything. This place should remain exactly as you find it for future visitors.

2️⃣ Safety first!
As tempting as it may be: do NOT enter any buildings!
As Asterix would say: the sky might fall on your head 😉
Loose stones, unstable walls and collapsing roofs are real dangers. The cache is located outside only – you do not need to enter any building.

Podéis explorar el lugar, disfrutar de su atmósfera especial y hacer fotografías, pero por favor no destruyáis nada, no cambiéis nada y, a ser posible, no toquéis nada. Este lugar debe conservarse tal como lo encontráis, también para los futuros visitantes.

2️⃣ ¡La seguridad es lo primero!
Aunque resulte tentador: ¡no entréis en los edificios!
Como diría Astérix: el cielo podría caeros encima 😉
Piedras sueltas, muros en mal estado y tejados inestables representan un peligro real. El caché se encuentra exclusivamente en el exterior – no es necesario entrar en ningún edificio.

Schaut euch gern um, genießt die besondere Atmosphäre und macht Fotos – aber bitte zerstört nichts, verändert nichts und fasst am besten auch nichts an. Dieser Ort soll auch für zukünftige Besucher so erhalten bleiben, wie ihr ihn vorfindet.

2️⃣ Sicherheit geht vor!
Auch wenn es verlockend ist: Betretet keine Gebäude!

Lose Steine, marode Mauern und einsturzgefährdete Dächer stellen eine ernste Gefahr dar. Der Cache liegt ausschließlich außerhalb – ihr müsst nichts betreten.
