🏙️ A mai Vörösmarty téren található kávéház és cukrászda története 1858-ban kezdődött, amikor Kugler Henrik megnyitotta üzletét. 👨‍🍳 Mivel utóda nem volt, 1884-ben a svájci származású Gerbeaud Emil vette át és bővítette nemzetközi hírűvé a vállalkozást. 👑 A csodálatos biedermeier és szecessziós stílusú termek a fővárosi elegancia szimbólumává váltak. 🍰 A kávéház a századfordulón a budapesti arisztokrácia, a művészvilág és a polgárság legkedvesebb találkozóhelye volt, és ma is hűen őrzi a békebeli kávéházi hagyományokat. ✨

🏙️ The story of this café and confectionery on today's Vörösmarty Square began in 1858 when Henrik Kugler opened his shop. 👨‍🍳 Having no successor, Swiss-born Émile Gerbeaud took over in 1884 and expanded the business to international renown. 👑 The magnificent Biedermeier and Art Nouveau rooms became symbols of capital elegance. 🍰 At the turn of the century, the café was the most cherished meeting place for Budapest's aristocracy, artistic world, and bourgeoisie, and it faithfully preserves the peace-time coffeehouse traditions to this day. ✨
