Description

The Oslofjord area, including the harbour, are a lovely region that show the wealth of the Norwegian country and the beautiful nature surounding the capital.

But near the Akerskus festing, a memorial reminds of a sad part of history, when in April 1990, only three months after its launch, a fire onboard the 142 metres long ferry caused the death of 159 people when it landed in the harbour of Oslo.

At the posted coordinates, you find a memorial featuring this catastrophe.

Hello there,

i had to come twice to find the spot. On my first tryout there was a harbor festival and i oversaw the place.

But in the end i found it and got the second of two Oslo Caches.

Oslo is a beautiful city and i enjoyed it very much.

Mit der AIDA haben wir heute direkt gegenüber angelegt. So erfuhren wir gleich von dieser traurigen Geschichte an die ich mich gar nicht mehr erinnern konnte. Danke für diesen Virtual.
