Das Wildgehege in Altenbach hat sich besonders in der Corona-Zeit zu einem beliebten Anziehungspunkt entwickelt. Joachim Kunze vom Reiterhof ist einer der wenigen Menschen in der Region, die Rotwild halten.
Das Gehege gibt es seit mittlerweile 15 Jahren. Doch die Anlage traf nicht von Anfang an auf Gegenliebe.
Als Kunze das mehrere Hektar große Gehege 2011 anlegte, gab es eine Unterschriftensammlung gegen das Vorhaben. Unter anderem wurde der 2,40 Meter hohe Zaun, der bei Rotwild vorgeschrieben ist, von einigen Anwohnern als störend empfunden.
