Baumhummel (Bombus hypnorum)
Diese Art hat sich in den letzten Jahrzehnten stark ausgebreitet, auch in Mitteleuropa. Sie nistet – ungewöhnlich für Hummeln – in Bäumen, Nistkästen oder Dachböden. Die Königin wird etwa 18–21 mm groß. Ihr rostbrauner Brustbereich macht sie gut erkennbar. Sie gilt als sehr anpassungsfähig an menschliche Siedlungen.
