In the night of the 9th november 1989 the Bornholm Bridge was the first place in Berlin where the wall falled down. “Berlin will be alive and the wall will fall down” words of the former Major of West-Berlin, Willy Brandt. Between 1961 and 1989 anyone risked his life if he wanted to cross the bridge without any passport and visa. Today, on the southeastern side you find a memorial which reminds us of this time.

Now, 17 years later I will remember at these happy days.

You’ll find the micro easily at the northeastern end of the bridge.

You reach the “Bornholm Bridge” via S-Bahn lines 1, 2, 25, 85, 86 station “Bornholmer Straße” est. 10 min. from Station "Friedrichstraße" or by tramway lines M13 or 50.

Das letzte Funddatum liegt lange zurück und/oder die Logs bei geocaching.com lassen darauf schließen, das der Cache nicht mehr zu finden, nicht zu loggen oder in sehr schlechten Zustand ist. Aus diesem Grunde archiviere ich ihn auch hier. Sollten sich später neue Aspekte ergeben und der Cache wieder aktiviert werden, so kann dies durch den Owner selbstständig über ein "Kann gesucht werden Log" erfolgen.

Der Cache scheint manchmal zu wandern... Bin November 1989 hier in einer einzigen Menschentraube mit Ost-Freunden von West nach Ost und später wieder zurück. Was für ein Erlebnis!
Schon im März gefunden. Erst jetzt hier geloggt.
