The Sciliar, Cima di Terrarossa and the „Denti di Terrarossa“ form the natural limitation of the Seiseralm in the south. The Sciliar - with Punta Santner in front - is a symbol for the whole region. Trails lead from all directions to its peak. The „Rifugio di Bolzano“ - where you can refresh yourself after the ascent - lies short below the highest point (Mt. Pez 2563 m).

The „Cima di Terrarossa“ is the eastern part of the Sciliar-Massif and the end of the Maximillian-climbing path.

Starting for this cache from the Seiser Alm (Compatsch) you can find four caches on a hiking tour: the cache Schlern-Sciliar (GC160Q5), Cima di Terarossa (GC16511), Tierser Alpl (GC1666K) and Schlern-Sciliar-Bonus (GC165FF).

The cache lies on a height of approx. 2575 m nearby the trail No. 3-4 from Sciliar to the Tierser Alpl.

The terrain weighting is determined by the duration of ascent and not by alpine difficulties.

11 August 2013 florhelbxoc found the geocache

Heute bei bestem Wanderwetter vom Spitzbühel über den Touristensteig herauf auf den Schlern mit dem Vorsatz den Schlern-Bonus mitzunehmen. Diesen hier Dank Spoilerbild gut gefunden - Bonusdaten notiert und weiter zm Tierser Alpl gegangen. Hier hat man ein herrliche Aussicht auf die schroffen Felsen der Rosengartengruppe, einfach herrlich.
Tatsächlich habe auch ich diese schwarzen Kügelchen im Erdreich gesehen und ein paar mit nach Hause genommen. Von den sieben Stück war eines magnetisch, die anderen 6 nicht, interessant. Bin durch Edgars Logeintrag auf "der anderen Seite der Geocaching-Welt"darauf aufmerksam geworden.
Besten Dank für den Cache an diesem bemerkenswerten Ort sagt florhelbxoc

Heute auf dem Weg zum Schlernhaus, wo auch eine Hüttenübernachtung anstand, durften natürlich einige Caches nicht fehlen.
Von hier oben hatten wir eine grandiose Aussicht, eine Pause war auch sehr angebracht, dabei diesen Cache gesucht und gut gefunden.

27 September 2011 Achi found the geocache

Nachdem ich am Vortag (frustriert) den Cache an der Langkofelscharte (OCAED1) nicht finden konnte, war dieser hier schnell gefunden. Toller Platz auf einem tollen Weg! TFTC.
