Description
The memorial stone near Ebringen reminds of the Battle of Freiburg during Thirty-Years War. On August 3rd 1644 the French forces attacked the entrenched Bavarian army on Schönberg and later on Lorettoberg. Even though the fight produced the highest number of casualties of any battle in the war, the military situation after the battle did not improve for any of the parties.

Bei einer Cachekontrolle mussten wir leider feststellen, dass die Dose weg ist. Da die Umgebung des Schlachtkreuzes inzwischen voller Müll und Exkremente liegt, werden wir den Cache nicht ersetzen.

Schöne, aber steile Fahrradtour führte uns zu diesem tollen Aussichtspunkt bei frühlingshaften Temperaturen. Netter, leicht zu findender Cache, tolle und interessante Geschichte. Merci!
