Vier Tore Stadt - Friedländer Tor

The city gate 'Friedländer Tor' is the oldest city gate of Neubrandenburg, it was the first of the four city gates bulid of stone. It is located at the north-east side of the old city wall.
The 'Friedländer Tor' consists of a small and a big gate which are connected by a wall called 'Zwinger'. In front of the small gate there is a tower, the 'Zingel'.
In front of the 'Zingel' has been a stone of atonemnt erected, in memorial to Heinrich Prillwisser, a mayor of Neubrandenburg, who has been killed at this place in the battle against the 'Treptower' in 1469.

28. julio 2011 espe2310 ha encontrado el geocache

Zuerst haben wir an der falschen Seite gesucht, aber dann hatte Bärbel die Dose schnell im Griff :-) Leider war sie vollgepackt mit zerknülltem und hineingestopftem Papier. Schade, dass man das immer häufiger vorfindet :-(

Da hatten wir wohl nicht den richtigen Blick. Aber es war sehr interessant, sich hier umzuschauen, vielen Dank! Zudem bekamen wir heut (Tag der Architektur) noch viele Informationen! - 11:15 -
