Update 02.09.2009: New question at stage 4. The value for H stays the same. Improved accuracy of final location.
A 4.5 kilometers (2.8 miles) hike in the vicinity of the old mining village Friedrichssegen. Not suitable for bikes and strollers. A compass and a topographical map come in handy, but are not required. There are significant differences in elevation. More information about mining in Friedrichssegen you can find (in German language) at http://www.bergbaumuseum-friedrichssegen.de/. There exists a bonus cache for this cache. Read the description of the bonus cache before starting! You must be at least two persons if you want to go for the bonus cache!

GPS reception is poor in the vicinity of the cache. Use the spoiler pictures and beware of the stinging-nettles. You find the coordinates of the bonus cache on the first page of the log book. You must be at least two persons if you want to go for the bonus cache!

You can dig for minerals at the acclivity north of the starting point. Do not remove trees or bushes, and fill up all digging holes before you leave.

Den Multi-Cache, Bergbaudorf Friedrichssegen, gefunden, gelöst oder teilgenommen und in das Logbuch eingetragen.
Wow, was für ein Bergbau-Multicache! ⛏️🤩

Ohne diesen Cache hätte ich diese Gegend ganz sicher niemals besucht – und erst recht nicht diese spannenden, geschichtsträchtigen Orte entdeckt. Genau dafür liebe ich Geocaching: Man landet an Plätzen, an denen man sonst achtlos vorbeigefahren wäre.

Die Stationen waren klasse ausgearbeitet und führten mich immer tiefer in die Bergbaugeschichte hinein. Besonders bei Station 4 war der richtige Riecher gefragt – zum Glück habe ich mich dort nicht in die Irre führen lassen.

Dieser Cache ist ein echtes historisches Highlight und merkt man ihm die Mühe und Leidenschaft deutlich an. Und dann diese große Dose am Final 😍 – das ist heutzutage ja schon fast ein kleines Wunder.

Ich bin rundum begeistert von diesem Multi . Solche Caches machen das Hobby einfach besonders.

Standardtext vorweg
Für heute plante ich drei Multis an der Lahn. Zunächst ging es - dem Rheinsteig folgend - bergauf. Am Wegesrand lag ein Kurzmulti. Danach genoss ich diverse Lahnblicke. Und nach einem Parkplatzwechsel erkundete ich das Bergbaudorf Friedrichssegen. Das Wetter war gnädig mit Coco und mir und besser als der gestrige Bericht.
Und sonst
Das war eine Runde nach meinem Geschmack. Interessante Orte und eine längere Wanderung. Ich begegnete keinem Menschen. Wir hatten komplett unsere Ruhe.
Unterwegs gab es einige sehr lohnende Fotomotive. Hier bleibt ein Favoritenpunkt.
In: Ixalan Coin (vielleicht motiviert die ja den ein oder anderen, den Weg zu laufen)
