Description
The miniature-wonderworld in Hamburg is the world's largest model railway!
This permanent exhibition has opened 365 days a year in the time from 9am to 6pm (at least) and shows on 7.000 m²: 15,4 kilometer tracks with 3.454 switches on which 1040 trains with 10.000 wagons bypass 1.380 signals through 9 thematic construction areas.
On the 1.490 m² layout size 4.110 houses and bridges has been placed which are illuminatet by 385.000 lights - many of those in the 9.250 driving cars and trucks. In between 130.000 handcraftet trees are 260.000 unique figures glued in the scale 1:87.
320 employees spent 760.000 working-hours and 20 Mio € into this wonderworld.

If you want to spent the whole day in between trains, the fee is 15 € regulary.

Heute stand zusammen mit gabirelemaus, Rex68 und Samutprakan ein Besuch vom Miniatur Wunderland an. Anschließend nach dem Abendessen wurden noch ein paar Caches besucht. Hier musste es etwas schneller gehen, da es gerade angefangen hat zu regnen.

Im Urlaub ist der Fuchs unterwegs um hohen Norden.
So ging es heute auch nach Hamburg und Umgebung.
Auch hier her wollte ich wegen dem Miniatur Wunderland.
Das Wetter war top ich bin gut durch gekommen und warte nun nur noch auf die Öffnung.
Da hab ich dann schon mal ein Bild gemacht.
