This cache invites you to discover the story of the Temple of the Seven Saints.
The building you see today began its life in the early 16th century as
the Kara Camii (“Black Mosque”), an Ottoman mosque. Centuries later,
after Bulgaria’s liberation, the building was transformed into an
Orthodox church and dedicated to the Seven Saints: Cyril and Methodius
and their five disciples (Gorazd, Clement, Naum, Angelarius, and Sava),
whose legacy is connected with Slavic literacy and culture.
Please be discreet, respect the surroundings, and leave the cache exactly as you found it.
